This article provides just some basic instruction on finding your device MAC address for headless media devices.

A MAC address (media access control address) is a unique set of alphanumeric characters that identifies a device on a network. It's different from an IP address, which identifies a device's network connection.
Its usually found in the device's user settings but the MAC address may be printed on the device itself, such as on a label on the back of a device.
The following are for some of the common devices:
Roku TV (click to expand)
To find the MAC address of a Roku TV, you can do the following:
1. Go to the Roku home screen
2. Select Settings
3. Select About
4. The MAC address will be listed.
5. You will be using the Wireless MAC address
Playstation 5 (click to expand)
To find the MAC address of your Playstation 5, you can do the following:
1. Start up your PlayStation 5 without a disk in the drive.
2. On the home screen, click on the settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner.
3. Select System.
4. Under System Software, select Console Information.
5. You will see the MAC addresses for LAN cable (Ethernet) and Wi-Fi.
Nintendo Switch (click to expand)
To find the MAC address of a Nintendo Switch, you can do the following:
1. Go to the HOME menu
2. Select System Settings
3. Scroll down and select Internet
4. The MAC address will be listed under System MAC Address
Xbox Series X (click to expand)
To find the MAC address of your Xbox Series X, you can do the following:
1. Navigate to the Settings page.
2. Select Network.
3. Select Advanced Settings.
4. Under IP settings, the MAC address will be listed next to Wired MAC and Wireless MAC on the right hand side of the screen.
