Instructions to log into Self Service
Requirements to Succeed
- Your Chaminade Email Address
- Format - firstname.lastname@student.chaminade.edu
- Example (Name = John Doe) - john.doe@student.chaminade.edu
- Initial default password
- Format - CHAMINADE [last 4-digits of your Social Security Number (SSN) or Date of birth mmddyy format]
- Example (Last 4-digits of SSN = 6789 or Date of Birth = 01/01/2000) - CHAMINADE6789 or CHAMINADE010100
- New personal password
- Minimum password length of 8 characters
- Must NOT contain our full 7-digit Chaminade ID number
- Must NOT contain any part of your account's display name
- Must meet complexity requirement of at least 3 of the following categories
- At least 1 upper case letter (A-Z)
- At least 1 lower case letter (a-z)
- At least 1 numerical digit (0-9)
- At least 1 non-alphanumeric character/symbol (~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/)
Instructions
- Navigate to chaminade.edu
- Click "STUDENT" at the top of the site
- Click "Self-Service" under Accounts
- Enter your Chaminade Email Address, then click "Next"
- Follow the prompts.
- Please note that this password will also be used for Portal and Canvas.
- Once you have successfully signed in to Microsoft, you will be redirected.
- Welcome to Self-Service (*Screen content varies on constituency)
Frequently encountered problems
Error message: "Login Failed. Please check User Name and Password" (click to expand)
- It's possible that you've already updated your password in the Portal. Canvas and Self-Service both use the same password as the Portal.
- If you haven't already, please try CHAMINADE followed by your Date of Birth in the format MMDDYY. For example, if your Date of Birth was January 1, 2000, your default password would be CHAMINADE010100
